Timing and Servings

  • Prep Time: 2 hours (including room temperature resting)

  • Cook Time: 1.5-2 hours

  • Total Time: 3-4 hours

  • Serves: 6-8 people

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 lb prime rib roast

  • 1/4 cup kosher salt

  • 2 tbsp black pepper

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 2 tbsp fresh rosemary

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Horseradish Cream:

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 1/4 cup prepared horseradish

  • 2 tbsp chives

Instructions:

  1. Season roast with salt, pepper, garlic, herbs

  2. Let sit at room temperature 2 hours

  3. Preheat oven to 450°F

  4. Sear roast on all sides

  5. Reduce heat to 325°F

  6. Roast 15-20 minutes per pound

  7. Rest 15-20 minutes before slicing

  8. Serve with horseradish cream
